What’s at the heart of it all?
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16 (NKJV)
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
We’re all sinners, and we all need a Savior.
“for the wages of sin is death..” – Romans 6:23 (NKJV)
Because the reward for sin? It’s death.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
We don’t have to fix ourselves first. Christ died for us while we were still messy.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
He doesn’t make it hard. Jesus did all the work.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” -John 1:12 (NKJV)
That’s it. No works, just faith.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)
By grace, through faith. Not you. It’s a free gift of God.
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” – Romans 8:1-2 (NIV)
You have been set free, brought into the light, raised to life with Him.
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” – 1 John 1:7 (NKJV)
You are clean! You are free! You are His!
We’re all in need of a Savior.
How to know Jesus?
- Admit you’re a sinner
- Believe Jesus died for your sins and was raised again
- Confess Jesus as Lord
He did all the hard work for you.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
-Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
